Beyond Paradise season 2: Release date and latest news
When are we heading back to Shipton Abbott?
After a successful first outing, which drew in 8.7 million viewers for its debut episode during its first 30 days on our screens, Beyond Paradise is returning for season 2.
"We were delighted with how quickly the audience took Beyond Paradise to their hearts and over the moon to be back for more," said executive producer Tim Key when the news was announced.
"Our fantastic cast and crew are hard at work to bring another series of humour, heart and, of course, some properly puzzling cases to audiences, all set against the beauty of Devon and Cornwall."
CEO of BritBox International, Reemah Sakaan, added: "From developing this series to its launch, Beyond Paradise has fulfilled the promise we saw in it, immediately growing a healthy fanbase amongst international audiences, with its abundant charm, humour and gripping mysteries, all fronted by a first class cast."

Beyond Paradise season 2 plot: What will happen?
The official synopsis is as follows: "Shipton Abbott continues to keep DI Humphrey Goodman and his team busy, with a baffling new crime each episode. From a death on a steam train to a missing teacher, the team have their work cut out – even more so with Police HQ's threat of the local station house closure hanging over them. The pressure is on to get results."
Ahmadi described the new cases as "bolder and bigger", adding: "They're more linked to the local surroundings. There's a fishing boat case, and there's a real sense of magic around the sea. We've got a murder mystery on a steam train, the school priest going missing and a medium predicting an arson attack. I feel like the stories come more out of the land this series."
Elsewhere, "Humphrey and Martha's journey to find their own version of a family continues as they explore the possibility of fostering".
Speaking about that strand of the story, Marshall said: "They've been through the mill with IVF, and when they've come to the end of that and had the realisation that maybe it wasn't going to happen for them in the way they'd hoped, rather than pull up the drawbridge, they're like, 'Well, how else can we help?'
"There are kids out there who maybe are in transitional periods in their lives with their families and need support and help and a little bit of humour and cuddles and love. And Humphrey and Martha have those in abundance, so it's a quite a natural progression when they get their heads around it."
There's also Anne, who "throws herself into the world of online dating, and a well-meant gesture from Esther’s daughter Zoe threatens to uncover a long-held secret…"
